A day without wine, a day without sunshine! - March 2024 Casey, aka K.C. (Killer Cat), was as gentle as he was beautiful. We'll Miss Him Forever!
End of the First Quarter, 2024 - Following our Christmas/New Year’s cruise (Dec 2023 - Jan 2024) to the Canary Islands, Morocco and Spain, aboard Celebrity’s Infinity, we just had to re-visit the ship in March, cruising from Athens, to some great Ports of Call, not only in Greece, but also in Turkey and Cyprus. This cruise was in honour of Ingrid’s birthday, which we were lucky to celebrate while “at sea!” Perfect timing, perfect weather, perfect surroundings….perfect in every way! We arrived in Athens two days prior to embarkation and were able to enjoy two interesting days touring through this magnificent city. Our trip began with dining at dusk on the terrace of our hotel, The Athen’s Gate, highly recommended! The view of the Acropolis was spectacular, only to be enjoyed again during breakfast the next morning. Of course, being in Athens, visiting the Acropolis is a must, which was done right after breakfast! Breathtaking! From the photos you will be able to take in Thessaloniki, Kusadasi (Ephesus), Turkey, Limassol, Cyprus, Rhodes, Heraklion, Nafplio, and back to Athens…our 11 days of exploring, dining and taking in all the comforts the Infinity has to offer. Our weather, apart from one morning of light rain, in Thessaloniki, was delightful, sunny skies, calm seas, with pleasant temperatures ranging from 15 to 20 degrees daily. The excursions were fascinating, the ruins incredible, leaving one in awe and wonder of what mankind was able to construct so long ago, and with parts still standing today.
