Casey, aka K.C. (Killer Cat), was as gentle as he was beautiful. We'll Miss Him Forever! Here we are, almost end of March 2025! We just came back from an exciting, once-in-a-lifetime journey through the Galapagos Islands. We spent two days in Quito, Ecuador, prior to reaching the Islands, at an almost 10,000 foot elevation, and we enjoyed an informative city tour. We were aboard the Celebrity Flora sailing to the various ports of call. We encountered flora and fauna, only found in this unqiue part of the world. We had personal encounters with sea lions, marine iguanas, the renown Blue-Footed Bobbies, and 100 year old tortoises, and much, much more. We hiked, snorkelled and explored extraordinary terrain with unique habitation. As we were right at the Equator, you can imagine, it was very hot! Our last day was spent in Quito prior to flying back to Toronto, via Panama City. On this last day we travelled to the Mindo Cloud Forest where we visited sanctuaries dedicated to the most beautiful humming birds and butterflies. As well we were given an overview of how the cocoa beans are harvested, processed and exported. We are happy to share our experiences with you. Just click the button below. Cheers, Ingrid & Ivan Simpson Bay, Sint Maarten - February 2025
